10. Valentine’s Day (2010)

Since the whole reason for you to be looking at this list is because of the special occasion about to happen, it’s only right to start it off properly. Valentine’s Day is a movie geared towards the different kinds of love that happens to different people. Although it’s not as romantic as the rest of the list, it’s still a movie you’d enjoy watching. Besides, you’ll get to see Taylor Swift acting which is a rarity and should remain that way.

9. Slumdog Millionaire (2008)

If you want something extremely cheesy that might make you want to sing and dance along. Slumdog Millionaire is not your typical love story which is exactly why it’s the perfect movie to watch with your special someone. Not only is it a great movie, but it’s a movie that has even experts reeling for more.

8. Titanic (1997)

Although some might argue that this movie should not even be in this list, it will be staying no matter what other people say. If you didn’t think this was the most tragic yet romantic love story ever told, then I have no idea what will convince you otherwise. Romance bloomed between people from two different worlds and collided soon after sealing the fate of many down to the depths of the ocean. It would be a nice movie to watch together.

7. Pretty Woman (1990)

We have to include at least one classic in this list of romantic movies to watch during Valentine’s Day and the best candidate for that is Pretty Woman. Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, being the Hollywood legends they are, made magic happen in this iconic movie. They proved that no matter the circumstance, love prevails. If you haven’t watched this yet, then you should definitely bump this up to your number one priority. You’ll thank us later.

6. The Wedding Singer (1998)

One cannot have a list of romantic movies without adding a little Drew and Adam chemistry in there. The first of two movies that made this list, The Wedding Singer stars Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler and they did a pretty good job making everyone swoon with all the romantic sappiness of a someone in love. With the iconic airplane serenade scene, there’s nothing more romantic than that. Who does that anymore anyways?

Who doesn’t know about this movie? This film practically sent waves to audiences around the world and attracted a lot of attention to the famous wishing well. It may even be one of the reasons why a lot of couples visit that place every year. Probably for their undying love to last forever. Choose this and you definitely will get brownie points for even knowing the plot in the first place.

4. Love Actually (2003)

Since the holidays are still fresh in our minds, why not keep the coal hot and burning by watching this romantic comedy that is great for both Christmas and for Valentines. It’s like a mixture of two where you just can’t take one out without the other following right after. With love as the theme of this movie, it’s perfect to watch with you girl during Valentine’s Day.

3. (500) Days of Summer (2009)

The movie that started it all, (500) Days of Summer is a classic film that everyone has probably watched more than once. Although it may be a bit depressing when it comes to the plot of romance, it will make you feel a little warm inside after watching it. Zoey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt was the perfect couple that was never meant to last.

2. 50 First Dates (2004)

One of the most iconic romantic movies that has ever been released is 50 First Dates featuring the power on screen couple Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. They just have this mysterious energy to them that make them look like they are a match made in heaven. Back to the movie, it’s difficult to admit that this might actually just be the best one in this entire list.

1. The Notebook (2004)

Arguably the most popular among all the movies in this list, The Notebook still is regarded as the one of the best romantic flicks to ever be released. From the iconic lines to the endless memes being made about this movie, it seems like it won’t be gone from our watch list any time soon. Besides, if you are just watching these movies because you’re single, then this is the movie you need to watch to cry yourself out.
